Obviously, there are some oddities. Whilst the level scaling handles most scenarios perfectly well, it's occasionally apparent that you are enjoying what was originally high-level content when not yet from your teenagers: Legion's class-specific quests, for instance, sometimes set up enemy patterns intended for skills you don't have yet. Chrome Time, meanwhile, isn't clearly signposted and somewhat confusing at present. You, it seems, dot around between expansions at will using the existing geographical links, instead of requesting Chromie to time-shift you to wow gold classic when you would like to go, but it ends up a few inconsistencies and scrambles a few quest-lines (at one point, I entered Orgrimmar's great hall to find equally Sylvanas and Garrosh were Warchief, concurrently ).

This overhaul does is to alter World of Warcraft from a game that is organised geographically, as a monumental odyssey through its many-storied landmasses, to one which is organised. No, scratch that - narratively. WOW is no longer place over its whole history. It is set over the last two years. You can opt-out of that if you need, but the game as good as points out for you that you are bending the rules to do so and taking an unwarranted trip into the past. Why look back?

All that material is still there for you if you want it - indeed, so is the first, gruelling grind through the old world, in the form of WOW Classic. Moment-to-moment, the game is much better for the changes, particularly for new players. A bewildering and intimidating beast of an MMO is now, if hardly small, then seductively compact. For the first time in a long, long time, the peaks seem within reach in the foothills.

I am definitely rolling another new character though.

It's just strange, for me personally, that a match I always felt was about its places has put its storyline integrity first. It's odd to see 14 years' worth of cheap classic wow gold landscape and experience - 14 years I lived and levelled, walked and fought - filed away where they won't irritate anyone unless they go looking. It's the right call, it simply makes me wistful.
