Monolithos Beach is located on the East coast of the island, south of Karterados Beach. Monolithos is a very long, quiet, family friendly, well organized beach with black sand, shallow waters and a sandy sea bottom. It is very good for swimming, and a life guard is on duty. Part of the longest continuous stretch of beach on the island, it continues to Kamari beach and further to Perissa beach. Organized activities include beach unbrella volleyball, basketball, football and a playground. There are fish restaurants and traditional tavernas, changing rooms, showers and public toilets. Trees at the back of beach provide shade.

Kamari Beach is located on the southeast coast of Santorini, north of Perissa. It is one of the most popular beaches of the island, and has been awarded the Blue Flag. The long beach connects with Perissa to the South, with the impressive mountain of Mesa Vouno and the archaeological settlement of Ancient Thira between them. It has deep, clear water, black sand, and there is a lifeguard on duty. The beach is organized, with sunbeds, umbrellas, water sports and diving. A paved pedestrian promenade runs parallel to the beach, providing a place for strolling and shopping. Kamari offers numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, as well as a lively nightlife. The area landscape is beautiful, especially at night, when Mesa Vouno is lighted.
